White Christmas

This was another one of the cards my stamp club made. I've loved seeing the different cards made using vellum and transparencies. Well, I tried the vellum. Not quite what I had in my head, but I still like it. I like how the White Craft ink shows on the vellum. Hard to see in the picture, but I used the Sakura Glitter Gel Pen on the center tree. The blue card stock is actually on the inside of the card. Sorry for the crooked picture too!

Supplies:
Stamps:Loads of Love, Snow Flurries
Ink:Craft White, Bashful Blue, Close to Cocoa
CS:Vellum cardstock, Bashful Blue, Orchid Opulence, WW
Other:Lt. Blue Gingham Ribbon, Double Rectangle Punch, Stamping Sponge, Close to Cocoa Marker (to color in tree trunks), Sakura Glitter Gel Pen

Be Merry

This is one of the cards my stamp club made last night. I wanted to show using our Designer Paper and how easy it is to make a quick card. While this could be used as a Christmas card, it can also be used as a Thank you card to be sent after the holidays for gifts and such received.

I love both the Double Sided Paper and the stitched ribbon and wanted to make sure my club members saw it again in case they wanted to order it before the end of the month. :)

Supplies:
Stamps:Warm Words, Itty Bitty Backgrounds
CS:WW, True Thyme, Holiday Thyme Double Sided Designer Paper
Ink:True Thyme
Other:True Thyme Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, 1 1/4 & 1 3/8 Square Punches, Stampin' Dimensionals (for underneath the greeting)

Hope everyone had a wonderful, safe, and Happy Thanksgiving!!

Elegant Flourish

I made this one for the same group, but a different challenge. Same thing - finished in time, but didn't get it loaded timely. The challenge was to make a Christmas card using non-traditional colors (no red/green). I never really took much notice to this set, but then I saw a card that Lori C. (stamp_momma on SCS) made and knew that I would want it. So, this is the first card I made using the set Finest Flourishes.

Supplies:
Stamps:Finest Flourishes, Warmest Regards (Hostess)
CS:Buckaroo Blue, Basic Black, WW
Ink:Buckaroo Blue, Basic Black
Other:Black Grosgrain Ribbon, Silver Organdy Narrow Ribbon, Stamping Sponge
Bold and Big Pieces

I originally made this for a challenge on another group to make a card using a button. Well, I finished it in time, but didn't get it loaded in time. :( No biggie - I do the challenges for fun and to keep me stamping/scrapping. I love the Bold and Bright colors of the patterned paper (SU!'s Dots and Dashes Designer Paper) and used that as my inspiration.

Again - you won't want to miss out on the SU! Winter Mini catalog. Make sure to get one from your Demonstrator or stop by the SU! website to find a Demo near you.

Supplies:
Stamps:Big Pieces & Small Sayings (Both Winter Mini)
CS:Glorious Green, Brocade Blue, WW, Dots & Dashes Designer Paper
Ink:Glorious Green, Brocade Blue, Only Orange, Basic Black
Other:Clear Button, Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Winter Mini Goodies

I am loving the Winter Mini items!!! OMGoodness - seriously...save your money now because you will want one of everything. Or add the items to your Christmas list. :)

I wanted to make a quick card using some of the new Winter Mini items. I have to prepare 40 cards for a swap I'm in, so I before I got into that - wanted to have something to show. Some new things on this card - 2 stamp sets, new Designer Series paper, and new RIBBON!!! I LOVE ribbon - not that I need more, but this is such yummy ribbon! :)

Supplies:
Stamps:Big Pieces, Tagger's Dozen (both Winter Mini)
CS: WW, Taken w/Teal, Designer Paper (Love Me - I think...from Winter Mini)
Ink:Taken w/Teal, Pretty in Pink
Other:Ribbon (Winter Mini), Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stamping Sponge

Ok - now back to work. I am hoping to play some tonight - the weather here is rainy and dreary, so nothing like staying inside to scramp!! :)

More Primas

I made this to go along with the 'Friend Accordion' in the previous post. I was very late in sending her the challenge, so I made both of these up to send as well. I altered a Band Aid tin I got in my Monthly Kit from EbbCreations. These are definitely too cute and I think I'll need to find some more. :)

Supplies:
Stamps:Mixed Bouquet, Small Sayings (SU! Winter Mini)
CS:WW, Cranberry Crisp, Recollections Designer Paper
Ink:Cranberry Crisp, True Thyme, Basic Black
Other:Band Aid Tin, Prima Flowers, Cranberry Stitched Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots, Crystal Stickles, Aqua Painters (to blend the ink on the flower and leaf), stamping sponge

Now - after seeing these I really need to send some Primas my friend Rachel's way. :) Yes girl - I've got them for you...I keep telling her I will send them and haven't yet.
Accordion Friend

I made this for another stamper on a swap group I belong to for a Prima challenge. I hope she doesn't look here yet because I mailed it and don't know if she got it yet. This was very easy to make and a lot of fun. This would also be neat to be placed on a shelf as artwork/decoration. Maybe stamp something like Create, Inspire, Dream, etc.

Supplies:
Stamps:Mixed Bouquet
CS:WW, Simply Scrappin' Kit - Friends (Hostess)
Ink:Cool Caribbean, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery, Rose Red
Other:Prima Flowers, Brads, Black Grosgrain Ribbon, Apricot Grosgrain Ribbon, Celery Narrow Organdy Ribbon

Here it is 'Boss'! :)

LOL! I was talking to my best friend (hey Rachel!!!) today and she told me I had to post on my blog to give everyone something to view. I won't be home this weekend (going scrapbooking - yeah!!) and so here is my post 'boss'!! :) Just kidding girl!!!

I made this card for a friend's friend who just found out she has cancer. She is a SU! Demo as well, so I wanted to show her my support and let her know she is in my prayers. Her favorite color is pink - hence the overload of pink here. I hope this helps brighten a bit of her day!

Supplies:
Stamps:Inky Antics, Hero Arts
CS:Basic Black, WW, Pink Passion, PP
Ink:Basic Black, Pink Passion
Other:Lt. Pink Organdy Ribbon, Prismacolor Pencils, Sakura Black Glaze Gel Pen, Sakura Glitter Gel Pen, Stampin' Dimensionals (the Girl w/flowers & the 'hugs' are popped up)

Well, I am off to finish packing and doing last minute details! I'm hoping to have lots of pages to share when I return!! Of course, if history repeats itself - then I tend to do more talking than scrappin' when I go away!! Must be the need for adult interaction, since I spend most of my days/time with my little ones. :)

Have a fantabulous weekend!!!!

Couple More Cards

This has become one of my favorite sets. As soon as the new catalog came out, I knew this was going to be one of the first sets I bought. It is so versatile and makes the greatest cards! There are so many samples using this set on Splitcoaststampers as well. This card was designed by Pam Hooten (iris on SCS). She did hers in Pink and Silver and it looked so beautiful - it caught my eye right away.

Supplies:
Stamps:Peaceful Wishes, Warm Words, Itty Bitty Backgrounds
CS:Whisper White, Old Olive, Holiday Thyme Double Sided Designer Paper
Ink:Old Olive, Cranberry Crisp, VersaMark
Other:Stamping Sponge, Brads, Olive Narrow Organdy Ribbon, Iridescent Ice EP, 1/16" Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

This is such a cute and fun card! This set (Happy Winter) has been in the SU! catalog forever and I just recently got it in a trade. I think it is so cute!! Not to mention that it makes for a quick and easy card too.

Christmas/Holiday Cards

We did Christmas/Holiday cards at a recent workshop. This one used one of the pre-cut cardstock kits that SU! sold to demonstrators. I love having the cardstock already cut - helps with the prep time going by quickly. :) It's hard to see in the picture, but the ornaments are stamped on the So Saffron with So Saffron ink.

CS:Bordering Blue, So Saffron, Always Artichoke, Naturals Cream
Ink:Basic Black, So Saffron
Other:Markers, Twill Tape, Hodgepodge Hardware, 1/2" Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

Rd 3 and Out

Well, for those who have asked....I didn't make it to round 4. I was voted out. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. I was hoping to do better, but I'm still glad that I tried. It got me back to scrapping and I needed that. I've actually been doing a couple pages here and there when I can. As soon I take pictures, I'll post some here on my blog.

Here is one of the pages I did for the DT I'm on at Scrapping Arts. I do Color Challenges there and posted the challenge of using Olive, Rust, and Brown. In fact, we are having a cyber crop tomorrow 11/4 - come join us for fun!!! (www.scrappingarts.com) We have a full day planned with lots of challenges and FUN!!

I can't wait to use these goodies - I got ribbons, fibers, snowflake embellies/brads, and the my friend stamp. I also got the cutest 3x3 card you see here! I was so surprised to have won and am excitied to use these goodies!! Thanks so much Anna!!
