UDI Diva Inspiration Challenge #60

Well, it's Thursday and that means it's time for the UDI Inspiration Challenge. Isn't this a great picture! I love the different stripes going on here - the curtains, placemat, coffee mug, and flower pot - are each unique, but flow so well together.

So, with the different stripes - that is what I ended up using for my inspiration.

I just got this set on Tuesday with my latest club order. It is the Level 2 Asian Artistry set. I normally don't use the hostess sets, but I was really drawn to this set and can see me using it quite a bit.

Things to Note:
-- Sponged the WW card stock edges with Soft Suede
-- Main image is pop dotted

This card also follows along with the Diva Coffee Break Designs Challenge #144 - it was a color challenge this week. I liked the colors and decided to pair them up with our challenge.

This is just the inside of the card. I normally don't 'do' the inside of the card - not sure why I don't though. However, tonight I was inspired to 'do' the inside. I stamped off once on the image, so that it wasn't as stark and if needed could be written over. I also sponged the WW edges with the Soft Suede ink.

Supplies:
Stamps: Asian Artistry
CS: Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberyy, Whisper White, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Ink: Soft Suede
Other: Markers - Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry; Soft Suede Polka Dotted Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stamping Sponge

Be sure to check out the other Diva's blogs for their take on this week's challenge. To see all that participated - just go to the Utah Divas Internationals blog. You can also see all the ideas on SCS that linked to the keyword DivaIC60 - just do a search in the gallery using the keyword.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Birthday Turtle
My sister's birthday was today, so I made the following card for her. I decided to take part in a color challenge over on SNR Card Universe in the Squigglefly Group. The colors to use were Green, Peach, and Gray. So, I printed off this digi image that I had purchased from Squigglefly some time ago. I'm bad about that - I purchase or download digi images, but then never print them out. Well, today was the day (well last night really since I made this last night for today).

Stamps: Sentiment from GinaK Designs; Digi Image - Flower Turtle from Squigglefly
CS: WW, DSP Paper Pack (Hostess) from SU!
Ink: Palette Noir
Other: Copic Markers; Prima Flowers; Rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals

Squigglefly Color Challenge - SFCC3

I have some club cards to post, so hopefully I'll get to them tomorrow. Til then - Happy Stamping!!

Utah Divas Challenge #55 and Stamp Club Project #2

This was another tough challenge for me. I see lots in the picture, but transforming that into a project was not easy.

I went with the rust color at the bottom of the picture. I also went with the 'nature' theme of the picture.

The above card uses the Trendy Trees set. I also used the sketch challenge from Splitcoaststampers (SC240). This card uses the new In Colors as well.

Supplies:
Stamps: Trendy Trees
CS: Soft Suede, Dusty Durango, WW, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Ink: Soft Suede, Dusty Durango, Old Olive
Other: Stampin Dimensionals

Stamp Club Project #2
This is another project that was done at stamp club. My focus was to showcase the In Colors for this stamp club. I used the SSC109 from the Stamping411 blog. As well, I used the color challenge from Stampin Addicts - SACC24.

Supplies:
Stamps: On Your Birthday
CS:Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede, WW, Bermuda Bay DSP
Ink: Soft Suede
Other: Bermuda Bay Polka Dotted Ribbon, Stampin Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!!

Unity's 4 Cupcakes

I made this card for a color challenge over on StampTV to use Black, Pinks, and Reds. Not the easiest for me to do, since that combo makes me think of Valentine's Day. I recently got some Unity Stamp Co stamps and decided to try them out. This image is one of them. The sentiment is from GinaK Designs Elegant Flowers set (StampTV kit item).

Some information on the card - I colored in the images using Copic markers (colors listed below in the supply list). I used a Sakura Glitter Pen on the 1st cupcake's swirls. A Pink Sakura Souffle Pen on the 'sprinkles' on the 2nd cupcake. A Pink Sakura Gel Pen on the lines on the 3rd cupcake, along with a pink adhesive gem on top. This whole panel is pop dotted. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey Cupcake.

Supplies:
Stamps: 4 Cupcakes (
Unity Stamp Co); Sentiment (GinaK Designs - Elegant Flowers)
CS: GP White, Pink Passion, Basic Grey Cupcake
Ink: Palette Noir
Other: Black Grosgrain Ribbon, Pink Adhesive gem, Sakura (Glitter, Gel, Souffle) Pens, Stampin' Dimensionals, Copic Markers (RV02, RV29, RV10, RV04, R29, Y00, E35)

Stop back by - I have another card to post from another challenge that I participated in on StampTV again. I love doing challenges to help me get started.

Black, Orange, & White Challenge

There was a challenge a few days ago over at Sweet N Sassy Stamps (SNSS) to make a card using black, orange, and white. I had participated in an image swap within the SNSS group and decided to use of the images for my card.

I colored the bird in with Copic markers. The bird is from the set My Little Chickadee from SNSS. I popped the scalloped circle up on pop dots.

Supplies:
Stamps: My Little Chickadee (SNSS)
CS: WW, Basic Black, Only Orange, Designer Paper DCWV
Ink: Palette Noir
Other: Copic Markers, Scalloped Circle Punch, 1 1/4 & 1 3/8 Circle Punches, Slot Punch, Orange Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

I just got my new stamps from The Rubber Cafe, so I plan to play tomorrow night. I was going to tonight, but I'm a bit tired - so I'm going to do some tomorrow instead. Can't wait - love getting new rubbah to use.

So, be sure to stop back by to see those!!

Blogger's Challenge (Jan. 18th)

Our challenge this week was a color combo - Blue Bayou, River Rock, Real Red, and WW OR VV. Well, since I found out that I don't have any Real Red card stock, I used it as accents on my card. This is such a cute set from TAC - I don't believe it is available anymore, so I'm glad I got it! One of my best friends is going through some rough times right now, so I thought I'd send her this card.

A bit about the card - I stamped the elephant and colored her in with my Aqua Painter and the River Rock ink. I then used Copic Ciao R29 Lipstick Red marker to color in her nails. I added some glitz to them as well with the Sakura Glitter Gel Pen. I sponged the scalloped piece with Real Red ink - to add a touch more red to the card. I stamped the circular design from SU's A Beautiful Thing onto the River Rock with River Rock ink. After tying the ribbon around the card, I used SU's dimensionals under the elephant to give her some 'lift'. The greeting is a bit hard to read here, it says - If you ever need a friend --- I got your back!

I tried to do the sketch challenge over on Kim's blog, but not sure I succeeded. :) Oh well - I tried!

Supplies:
Stamps: Stand Tall (TAC), A Beautiful Thing (SU!)
CS: River Rock, Blue Bayou, WW
Ink: River Rock, Blue Bayou, Real Red, StazOn Black
Other: Stamping Sponge, Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Marvy Scalloped Circle Punch, Aqua Painter, R29 Lipstick Red Copic Ciao Marker, Sakura Glitter Gel Pen, Stampin' Dimensionals

Who doesn't Love a Good Challenge??

I love doing challenges! Whether it is a sketch, color, ways to use it - it doesn't matter. If it is a challenge, then I try my hardest to do it if time permits. Why do I love them? Well, it is very simple - most of the thought process is done for me! I'm all about getting things done quickly when I can. With 3 kids under my feet, my stamping time is limited. Every time I try to sit down to stamp - one, if not all of them, crowd around me and start taking things from my table. SO, I love challenges because the guesswork is done for me.

As for the card above - the sketch and the color choice were both challenges. The sketch came from a yahoo group I belong to. The color choice - to use Blush - came from the color challenge over on Inky Antics message board. Seriously - if you aren't a member of the IA message board - you are missing out on all the FUN!! So - be sure to stop by and say hello....we are a friendly bunch I promise!! :)

Stamps: Inky Antics - Snowcup & Snowflakes BG; Stampin' Up! - Snowfall (Greeting)
CS: Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa, WW, Basic Grey Infuse
Ink: Palette Noir Black, Close to Cocoa
Other: Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol
