Isn't this kit just awesome!?!?! The top picture is the full kit and the bottom picture is a close up. How can you get this kit now you ask? Well.....

Nope - I'm not giving away candy...yet. However, my friend Tam over at Living Out Loud is today. She is giving away the October Go. Be Creative Scrapping Kit. I have this kit - got it today - I'm a kit member and it is FABULOUS!! Seriously - all of Lainey's kits are awesome. She hand-picks everything and coordinates it all so well. LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!

Ok - so all you have to do is leave a comment over at Tam's blog on this post. Yep - it is that easy and you are in the running for this great kit. You don't want to miss your chance. Remember - leave your comment over at Tam's blog to be entered.

Long Time - No Blogging

Wow! It's been awhile again since I last blogged. Between being sick (myself and the rest of my family), computer issues (laptop was out of commission for a bit and still having issues), and just not having time - I haven't blogged.

Well - I decided I needed to get on today and post some things. I went away this past weekend on a scrapbooking retreat and got the following pages done. I'll post the others as well, but didn't want to cram everything into one post. These aren't the best pages, but then again, when I go on these scrappin' retreats - it is usually more a time for me to relax with friends and chat. So, my creativity isn't always with me!! :)

These are pages from a family reunion to Missiouri back in 2003. Did I mention that I'm always behind on my scrapping? I'm just proud of myself for getting this many accomplished!

I'll be back later to post some more pages!! Thanks for stopping by and sorry for the long time in between posts!! Happy Friday!!

Stampin' Hugs,
Karen

Sprinkler Fun

Goodness - this is my 3rd post tonight!! Yep - trying to make up for being such a slacker of late with posting to my blog.

This is a scrapbook page that I finally put together after having it in my head for awhile!! I used the July Kit - Cayenne Pepper - from Go. Be Creative. Love it - so much in it and love the papers!! The extras that I added were the smaller Primas, used my Cuttlebug with a Sizzlet alpahbet, and 3 vintage brads (from SU). I used a sketch from Becky Fleck's PageMaps.

You've got to check out the message board for GBC as well if you haven't! Lainey (the owner) posts ideas she's made using the current kit for inspiration, as well as, other ideas and all around FUN from the other members!!

Supplies Used:
Go. Be Creative - July Cayenne Pepper Kit
SU! - Photo Corner Punch, Cuttlebug with Sizzlet Alphabet, Chocolate Chip ink, Ruby Red ink (to die the 'S' chipboard from the kit), 3 Vintage Brads
Other - Prima Flowers

Ok - I'm done for the night...I promise! I need to head to bed or I won't make it in to work tomorrow!!

I am addicted to scrapbooking kits!! There are so many out there on the internet that finding one that fits your needs isn't hard. There is one particular site that has AWESOME kits!! The site is Transparent Touches & Tags. They have a great store and a message board (did I mention I'm addicted to message boards too!!). *grin* Anyway - back to the kits....Monica (the owner) has posted sneak peeks of the February kits already. *grin* I got 2 of the kits from January and some add-ons as well. They are so cool - can't wait to use them!

Here are the 2 kits for February - for the specific list of items in each kit be sure to check out the website.

{pretty in pink}

I have been super busy with trying to get things ready for Christmas, so I apologize for not updating my blog more often. Not to mention - all 3 of my kids were sick and now my DH and I are sick. Of course, this has really slowed me down because I don't feel like doing anything when I'm sick. I also have been sleeping all day for a couple days - really puts a hamper on stamping and crafting that NEEDS to be done for Christmas!!

Anyway - here is a page I made of Mackenzie. I just love all the prima flowers and 'bling' on this page!! :) Mackenzie can really test your nerves, but all she has to do is just smile at you and it melts your heart (as can all my children)!! :)

Supplies:
Stamps:Technique Tuesday (Girl word stamps)
Ink:Basic Black
Other:Wild Asparagus PP, Close to Cocoa cs, Transparency (www.transparenttouches.com), Pink Gems, Prima flowers, Stickles in center of flowers, ribbon

The pp, ribbon, big flower, brad, and pink gems are from the Nov Just Enough Kit Please from Serendipity Scrapbooks (www.serendipityscrapbooks.com) .

Family Fun

Here is a layout I finished the other night. I really like how this turned out. I used a sketch from one of the many sites I frequent. :) I've been trying to scrap at least one for every couple cards I make.

Supplies:
Stamp:Season by Season
PP:Wild Asparagus
Transparency:Transparent Touches & Tags (www.transparenttouches.com)
Metal Charms:Unknown (these were silver snowflakes and I used a Gold Zig Painty to color them to match the pp better)

That's it - very simple, but a satisfying layout to finish. :) One down - only a gazillion more to go!

Rd 3 and Out

Well, for those who have asked....I didn't make it to round 4. I was voted out. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. I was hoping to do better, but I'm still glad that I tried. It got me back to scrapping and I needed that. I've actually been doing a couple pages here and there when I can. As soon I take pictures, I'll post some here on my blog.

Here is one of the pages I did for the DT I'm on at Scrapping Arts. I do Color Challenges there and posted the challenge of using Olive, Rust, and Brown. Round 3 Submission

Well, this is my Rd 3 submission for the Design Team. The picture is actually terrible. It looks washed out, so I am going to try to take another picture tomorrow and see if it turns out any better. I wanted to get it posted though just in case I can't get to it tomorrow. This is of Madison when she lost her 1st tooth - 10/17/06. Two days after I took this picture she lost her 2nd tooth - both on the bottom next to each other. Of course, she didn't even know she lost her 2nd tooth until I told her. She was playing with her friends and eating popcorn - somewhere along the way it came out. :)

Well, it is now 3am for me and I really need to hit the bed! My kids will be up nice and early for me, so I am going to get 4 hours at best tonight. I wanted to get this on my blog though because I was excited to finish it! Of course, if you could only see it IRL - it is so much better. Oh well!

DT - Week 2

Ok - so this is the layout I submitted for the Week 2 challenge for the DT. Our challenge was to use 1 Manufacturer. As well as, only 1 of each item used. Only 1 word for our title. It seems easier than it actually was though. Like - ribbon could only be used in one place...you couldn't cut it and use it in 2 spots. So, I chose Basic Grey Oh! Baby Boy for my line. I love BG and that was what I had the most of. I did go out and look about buying some things, but decided that I have way more than enough to do a layout right here!! :)

So, the voting has begun. This time we had to vote for 2 people. In total - 10 people will be voted off come Monday. I'm telling you - the suspense is enough to give a person an ulcer!!

Our hints for Week 3 have begun. The first hint was a picture of the Earth. She is giving us another hint in the morning. Then the actual challenge is announced Monday - after all voting has taken place.

I really had fun making this layout. I put a Basic Grey Wholly Cow Rub-on in the upper right corner of the picture. I thought it looked best there. I also did doodling in 2 of the 4 corners with my White Uni-Gel Pen. I printed Trenton's name on the computer. When I printed it out, I printed it in reverse. Then adhered it to the blue Bazzill card stock. Then cut it out. I really like how this looks - my first time trying this! I had tried to print directly on the card stock, but I think the 'weight' was too heavy because the printer kept kicking it back out to me. So, I went with this option and am so glad I did. This is the first page in Trenton's book. I did the girls first page layout the same way - their hospital photo and name.

Here is a layout I created for a Design Team tryout. I'm up against a lot of other great stampers, so not sure how far I'll make it. They are doing the tryouts somewhat like Survivor - all participants will vote others off. They are granting 5 immunities this first round.

The challenge for this round was to create a layout based on a particular AD. The AD was in black/white with the only color on it being Orange. So, our layout had to be inspired by the AD and we HAD to use the color orange somewhere on our layout. So, this was my take on the AD that was posted. We have until midnight CST to post layouts. Mine is already posted....now the waiting begins!! UGH!! Hmm...maybe that is why I don't feel the greatest today - my nerves must be getting to me!!!

Whether I go on or get voted off - I'm going to follow it along to see the participants that make it. The site is Scrap Love (www.scraplove.com). So, if you don't mind - wish me luck!!!
