Blogger's Challenge (Aug. 10)
The challenge for last week was to alter an item. Well, the above picture is what I chose to alter. I got it from the Go. Be Creative store - it comes unassembled for easy altering. Of course, what I thought would take me just a couple days - has actually taken me longer. I don't know if it has been the warm weather we've been having or what, but my glue (Mod Podge) isn't drying!! I've even sat the pieces in front of a fan to help, but they remain *tacky*. Is this normal?? I don't think I've ever used Mod Podge before, so I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen. It seems to dry, but I've noticed that it sticks to whatever it is up against.
Anyway - the pieces have all been covered in paper (again from Go. Be Creative - this time from the August Kit of the Month). I need to add some paint and then put it all together. I'm hoping though that the pieces don't remain *tacky*. I'll be sure to post a completed picture when it is complete.

Karen, I'm sorry you're having troubles with your Mod Podge. It will always be a little bit tacky. That's why I use Royal Coat Decoupage Finish instead. When it dries, it is not tacky at all. You can find it at Michaels right next to the Mod Podge.
